Colman Domingo’s first major TV role

Media expert Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life after stumbling upon a murder deep in the Poconos. Boy, did I want to like this. I’ve liked other things Colman has done, but this is a waste of time.

And poor Colman is just plain miscast

Some really questionable and predictable writing choices and, I’m sorry to say, not the best acting all around. He’s not that kind of leading man. It reminded me of when Tyler Perry tried out for Alex Cross.

Watching Colman run was painful

Just unbelievable. As the show dragged on and scene after scene of two people inexplicably whispering plot points to each other (why not SHOW us?), it was really hard not to fall asleep. It always amuses me when non-athletes get the chance to play action roles.

Let’s move on

(He wasn’t great at action in Fear the Walking Dead and he’s not here.) It always unnerves me and stinks like a vanity project. His mouth is open in every scene as he “thinks” (a sign that he’s uncomfortable and busy acting “normal,” in my opinion). Not everyone can be an action star.
