This will mark the third attempt at a television series based on the world of Cruel Intentions (1999)

Synopsis

After being bullied at their elite college, half-siblings Caroline and Lucien try to maintain their power and reputation by seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. The direct-to-video sequel Cruel Intentions 2 (2000), with Amy Adams replacing Sarah Michelle Gellar as Catherine Mertoy, was originally a scripted television series before being remade into a feature film. Gellar would later reprise her role as Catherine in 2016 for the NBC pilot Cruel Intentions (2016), which was not ordered to series.

It was followed by Cruel Intentions (1999)

The remake is so boring and so slow. It doesn’t even hold a candle to the original. The guy who plays Lucien doesn’t even look that attractive, he looks like a high school kid.

I’m not mad at the show, I’m just a little disappointed

I really couldn’t get past the first episode, it was so boring and the acting was pretty bad. I’m a huge fan of Cruel Intentions and I was looking forward to the remake, I was actually looking forward to the sequel with Sarah Michelle Gellar. You don’t even know who to root for in terms of character development it’s so bad.

I wouldn’t recommend watching this

This wasn’t the remake I was looking for. It’s so bad and so disappointing. It started out a little good but then it went downhill for me.
