Genevieve lives life as a shy and neurotic book editor, shunning her co-workers and trying to become the next ghostwriter of her publisher’s most popular crime novel series. But no one, not even her therapist, knows that Genevieve has a secret battle with dissociative identity disorder (DID). Although her life at home and in public is a constant struggle to avoid any stress that would cause her breakups, the series and her random display of DID begin to worry Genevieve as she is flooded with flashbacks of memories she had no part in creating. Nervous about how dangerous she and her alter “Stevie” could be, she discovers clues to the horrors they may have been a part of. Genevieve moves dangerously close to the secrets of her past and descends into terrifying hallucinations as she approaches the source of her trauma and the answer to the question she’s always been afraid to ask: What happened to Genevieve?
